January 4, February 8 (NYIG Open), March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, November 7, December 5.
Rules

Format: 4 rounds, AGA rated, with AGA rules, Swiss categorizing and rank pairings.

Handicaps: The open division (4D and up) will have no handicap, while other divisions will play with handicap-1 (e.g. a 1 Kyu player will give a 4 Kyu player 2 stone handicap).

Time settings: 25 minutes with 5 times 20-second byoyomi. Clocks are started 5 minutes after the round starts. If a player does not arrive 10 minutes after that, they will forfeit the round.

Tentative Divisions: The Open Division requires a minimum of 6 players. The rank divider is subject to change depending on the number of participants.
Open Division: 4D and above
Division 1: 1D to 3D
Division 2: 10K to 1K
Division 3: 25K to 11K

Anti-sandbagging rule: If any form of sandbagging is discovered by the players or the TD, the TD has the right to disqualify a player’s current games and reallocate that player to the division that fits their actual rank.

Late arrivals: If a player does not arrive in time for the first round and does not notify the TD that they wish to participate, they will not be included in further rounds.
Schedule
Check-in starts at 9:30 AM.
Tentative schedule (may be delayed due to some games taking longer than the estimated time):
Round 1: 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM
Round 2: 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM
Lunch: 12:45 PM - 1:30 PM
Round 3: 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM
Round 4: 3:00 PM - 4:15 PM
Awards: 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Registration
Players pay non-refundable $30 registration fee online or on site. Although the fee is non-refundable, if players cannot attend, they may use this participate in the following tournament (e.g. A player registered for but missed the January tournament may participate in the February tournament).
Early Bird Registration: if a player registers before or on the previous tournament day, they will receive $5 off the next monthly tournament registration. Early registration ends after the day of the previous tournament.
After the registration deadline (11:59 PM the night before the tournament), walk-in registration is $40. Please inform us at least one hour before the 1st round begins, otherwise, the player will be paired starting from the 2nd round.

Prizes
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 players in each division. The 4th place prize may be applied if there are 10 or more players in a division.
