The 7th US Go Ranking Competition
In the US Go Ranking Competition, players participate in a division of similar rank and promote ranks based on their performance. 5 rounds are played in each ranking competition. All players below 1 dan are eligible to participate. Please visit: ny-go.org/nygrc

About the event
In the US Go Ranking Competition, players participate in a division of similar rank and promote ranks based on their performance. 5 rounds are played in each ranking competition. All players below 1 dan are eligible to participate.
Eligibility: The player must have a valid AGA rating or ranking certificate (from previous competition). If the player has neither, they may register as 24 kyu upon completion of the beginner course at NYIG.
Rules: 5 Rounds will be played under the time settings of 25 minutes of absolute time. This tournament uses AGA Rules, which includes 7.5 Komi for an even game and 0.5 Komi for a handicap game. For more information about Rule of Go, visit the AGA website on the rules of Go (usgo.org/rules-go).

Ranking Certificate
$20.00
New York Go Association (NYGA) is the first Go organization in the US to host Ranking Competition. The Ranking Certificate is issued by the New York Go Association with approval from the American Go Association. The Ranking Certificate booklet requires a one-time fee of $20. Each improved rank will be recorded on additional pages of the booklet.
