First North American Youth Open

The NAYO (North American Youth Go Open) is an open youth tournament held by the American Go Association for all young players at all levels who are under 18 years old with over $1000 prize pool.

Since the US Youth Go Championship discontinued many years ago, we all missed having it back! The goal for the NAYO is to provide an opportunity for young players to once again compete in a high standard North American tournament. The AGA intends to host this competition annually and make this event the largest open youth Go tournament in North America. The original intention to hold this competition as a face-to-face tournament in the future sponsored by the New York Institute of Go and the American Go Foundation.
